Server – The Hexagon Waterfront Patio & Restaurant

 

Location: 34 Pier Road, Deep River

 

Employment Type: Full time/Part time availability, flexible hours.

The Hexagon is a seasonal waterfront restaurant and premier event venue in Deep River, dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences and seamless event hosting. We take pride in creating unforgettable moments for our guests.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Front of House (FOH) Server to join our team and uphold our high standards of service with an opportunity to transition into an Off-Season Catering and Administrative Role if desired.

 

 

Job Summary

 

This role is all about providing outstanding service to our guests, smooth daily service and successful event execution from greeting to goodbye and everything in between. Everyday is a different day in our restaurant, and we rely on a strong team ethic to meet our high standards whilst maintaining the highest level of food safety and health and safety. This role is exciting, fast paced, and challenging but highly rewarding.  We offer a flexible schedule, with evening day and weekend shifts available to suit your needs.

 

 

Expectations

             •                3+ years in the food industry

             •                Strong customer service skills with the ability to mutli-task and problem solve

             •                Self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

·       Experience with Facebook for social media engagement, and willingness to participate in content creation

             •                Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and service flow

             •                Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations

 

Required Certifications

 

(Must be obtained within two weeks of employment)

     •           Smart Serve Certification

     •           WHMIS Training

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

     •           Ensure exceptional customer service

     •           Oversee restaurant ambiance, cleanliness, and presentation to maintain a welcoming

environment

             • Participate in operations, including reservations, seating arrangements, and

monitoring inventory levels for bar, takeout, and coffee service

 

 

Event Execution

     •           Work closely with the event coordinator to ensure seamless execution of weddings, private

events, live entertainment, and special event nights

     •           Participate in event setup, service, and breakdown.

     •           Maintain clear and consistent communication between FOH and BOH staff regarding event

details

Waterfront Restaurant & Catering Company seeks Full Time Cook

Join a great team with a beautiful waterfront view. We are looking for an enthusiastic cook to join the Maven Catering Team! 

Position length Mid-April to October with an option to extend based on availability. 

This role is all about preparing hot & cold delicious food, to deliver Maven’s Catering’s quality to every customer. Every day is a different day in our kitchen, and we rely on a strong team ethic to meet our high standards, achieve excellence in creating our product whilst maintaining the highest level of food safety and health and safety. This role is exciting, fast paced and challenging but highly rewarding.

Rate of pay based on previous working experience and will increase once training is complete.

Requirements;

  • Current Safe Food Handling Certificate (must obtain within one month of hiring date)

  • Evening and weekend availability 

  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve

  • Self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Have strong customer service skills

  • Must be able to lift 20 kg unassisted
